Black and white

Beatriz - So, Mommy, as we get older, do we turn black?
Me - No, Beatriz. There are all sizes of black people, white people and other colors.
Beatriz - But, Mommy, my friend K. was white when she was born.
Me - No, I don't think she was. Although I read somewhere that when black babies are born they are usually less black than as they grow old.
